Steps

  1. 1To make wheat halwa, first heat water and sugar in a saucepan. Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Reduce the heat and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
  2. 2Heat ghee in a kadhai. Add the wheat flour and roast on a medium flame. Keep roasting until it turns a light brown. This will take about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Keep stirring until the mixture becomes a bit coarse. Now reduce the heat and add the cardamom powder.
  4. 4Gradually pour in the sugar water. Keep stirring to avoid lumps. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, then turn off the gas.
  5. 5Let it rest for 5 minutes. Now heat some ghee in a tadka pan. Add the cashews and cook until they turn golden. After they turn golden, turn off the gas and add them to the halwa. Mix well and serve hot.
  6. 6Serve the wheat halwa as a sweet dish after dinner.
