Steps
- 1Pat salmon dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
- 2Sprinkle salmon with salt and set aside.
- 3Melt the butter and stir in the garlic powder.
- 4Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- 5On a large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, place a few slices of lemon and a sprig of herbs.
- 6Top with fish, butter, herbs, and lemon slices.
- 7Drizzle with garlic butter.
- 8Wrap salmon in foil, bringing the long sides of the foil together and rolling up the edges to seal.
- 9Grill salmon for 7-8 minutes, uncover and check to see if fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 10If needed, grill for a few more minutes uncovered until fish is done. Fish can take up to 12 minutes depending on the thickness of the filet. Be careful not to overcook the fish or it can get dry. I always check at 8-10 minutes for doneness.
- 11I used 2 large 10 oz filets for this recipe, so slice into four individual portions before serving.
