Steps
- 1Filling
- 2In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except dumpling wrappers.
- 3Mix with chopsticks in 1 directly till mixture becomes slightly sticky, about 5 minutes.
- 4Wrap the dumplings
- 5Place a dumpling wrapper in your palm, add about 1 Tbsp of filling in center. (Tip for beginners: use less filling to make wrapping easier.)
- 6Wet the edges of the wrapper with a bit water.
- 7Fold in half and secure the top center by pinching the wrapper together.
- 8Squeeze sides of wrapper between thumb & index fingers tightly to secure.
- 9Slightly bend toward you.
- 10Make sure everything is sealed. Reinforce the edges by pinching if needed.
- 11Separate dumplings and make sure they’re not touching each other. Put them on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.
- 12Pan fry dumplings
- 13Heat 3 Tbsps oil on medium heat in a non-stick pan.
- 14Pan fry 20 dumplings for about 2 minutes till bottom is golden brown.
- 15Add 1 cup water (or about 1/3 height of the dumplings), cover, cook on medium high for 5-7 minutes. Uncover, cook till water evaporates.
- 16Enjoy!
